Team Unveils New Additions and Returning Players
Cleveland, OH - September 27, 2023
The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially unveiled their roster for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season. The team has made several key additions and returns a strong core of players looking to make a deep playoff run this year.
The Cavaliers have added All-Star point guard Darius Garland via a trade with the Utah Jazz. Garland is a rising star in the league and is expected to be a key contributor on and off the court. The team has also signed free agent shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, who is coming off a breakout season with the Miami Heat.
Returning players for the Cavaliers include power forward Evan Mobley, small forward Isaac Okoro, and center Jarrett Allen. Mobley and Allen have both been named to the All-NBA Defensive Teams in the past, and Okoro is a rising star on the defensive end of the floor.
The Cavaliers are led by head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, who has been with the team since 2019. Bickerstaff has led the Cavaliers to the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, and he will look to build on that success this year.
The Cavaliers are set to open the regular season on October 19th against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team will play their home games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
